A ride on the beach, with ponies for everyone!
Seriously, it's time to put aside seriousness for a night, put down the pies, put aside our differences, put our feet up and enjoy some put-put-putting along by the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea, you and I, you and I, oh how happy we'll be!
Ahem. Actually horses don't put-put-put, they plod...plod...plod or trot-trot-trot or cantercantercanter or GALLOP depending on the rider's whim and the horse's willingness.
Whatever the gait, the going on Crane's Beach in Horse Season (October 1st through March 31st) is mighty fine, and the region's riders make the most of it.
People hack out alone:
They ride out in pairs -- oh, what fun it is to ride the beach with a friend!
And they ride out in groups.
